Hello Everyone,

I'm just wondering the people who purchased the S22 Ultra, last year around May, do you think when the phone receives the third android upgrade next year, it will start to become laggy or slow? Also, do you think around then you'll start getting battery issues?

Thanks!

I am expecting android 15 update. Wouldn't it be? I think 4 major updates are expected for flagships.

Yes this phone is scheduled to get Android 15 and then a final 16 update. Then you'll get a security patch, the following year which I think Samsung disingenuously labels the 5th update. That's not fair because no new features will be added. I suspect the 3rd update (Android 15) will make the phone run a bit slower.

That's the good thing about Samsung policy, I like that Samsung are updating the phone. I'm going to upgrade sometime next year. But it'll definitely at least be over 2 years old.

Your S22 ultra will run without any issues all the way to 2026. At that point, depending in your habits, your battery might decrease by 35%. Your storage, (again, depends on your habits) might be running out.

As a good practice keep your phone running at optimal conditions by resetting it at least once a year. I usually do it every major update.

Battery capacity, if you restrict charge to 85%, you are extensing de lifespan for 15% more of charges.

Eventually, battery will diminish its charging properties and thats a good time to replace the battery.

In my case, I just broke my screen, so here it goes to samsung for a screen and battery replacement for 200 usd.

There is a lot of life in these devices, specially if you bought higher memory and higher storage capacity.
