S22 battery drain and overheat

Hi all,

I've got an s22+ running on latest one ui 6.1, and have been experiencing large battery draining and lots of overheating even with just simple usage for a few hours.

Anyone experiencing this know a fix?

Will a battery replacement affect the phones waterproofing?

You may be suffering from the dreaded motherboard issue that has plagued many S22 phones post the UI 6.1 update. The S22 has an inherent hardware defect which has been exposed by the latest update which Samsung won't admit.

Have you noticed your phone randomly restarting during the day? If so, your phone is goosed. I have had to throw mine in the bin as the quote for repair was more than the phone is actually worth.

It hasn't done that no, but it has slowed down with each update. The battery now only lasts about 2 hours even though diagnostics say its fine. What did you replace the phone with

I'm using an old burner phone for now, but I'm begrugingly thinking of moving to the dark side and getting the iPhone 15 Plus.

Is your phone still in warranty? If so, I would send it for repair via the Samsung website.

Me too! However mine has had overheating issues for a long time, plus my camera does this camera fail while I'm using it.  IDK! 

I don't think I should heber to pay for a repair caused by their updates or whatever software problem.
