A few days ago ONE UI 7 update was downloaded on my phone overnight as I have my phone set to automatically update. Prior to this update I had zero problems with overheating and now just the basic tasks drastically raise temperature. I took advantage of some downtime to play a game I've played daily on this phone for well over a year, minutes into the game my device got unbearably hot and I got an overheating notification on my screen which in the more than a year that I've had the phone has not once occurred.
Sitting here typing this message I am looking at Thermal Guardian and the temperature is rapidly rising.
Having a good grasp on tech, I have cleared my cache, restarted the phone, lowered settings across the board for both normal usage and adjusted my Game Booster settings to the lowest settings yet am still overheating far to quickly.
Prior to the update overheating was a non-issue and this issue started from the moment the phone went through the restart immediately after the ONE UI 7 update.
I have been a Samsung user for close to two decades with phones as well as wearable, televisions, etc simply because I find the brand to be rock solid. However, this issue is quite disturbing as the cost of the phone was over $1500 when I purchased it and for the level of overheating that I am experiencing is certainly going to affect the longevity of the device.
Samsung needs to fix this issue

@Members_pcXeooV: While some heat is to be expected, your phone should not be too hot to handle. Typically, if your phone has exceeded the temperature threshold, then you should receive a notification to inform you of this, and the phone will automatically shut down if this temperature is maintained. If you have not experienced this, then please head to Settings > Device care > Memory > Clean now to close all background apps. Furthermore, please restart your phone every 24-48 hours to maintain its performance.
