Guys, I've installed the one UI 6.1 update and now my phone has the reboot loop issue. This was reported in Korea when first launched and then pulled. My phone is out of warranty and I don't know what I can do to fix it. I've spoken to customer service and gone through all the help but still no fix. Others have reported no fix after factory reset and offered of repair are at my cost not Samsungs even though the issue relates to there update. Anyone else had this issue?

After updating to 6.1 my phone kept prompting to install the software update. I went thru that cycle about 4 times. Then I followed the advice of updating Google Play and it wanted a restart, too. The phone still kept prompting for installing the update. I did so again (after the Google play update and restart) and now the phone recognizes the software upside as installed.

I found a Google play update that it needed. Install it reset then download the Samsung one again and it worked like it should

Updated my S22 with the latest update last night and also now dealing with a borked phone.

Just wanted to add to the dissenting voices - why would I ever buy Samsung again if their official updates are borking my phone?

So my phone is working again.  Early on I decided that I'm OK with loosing my data. I had most stuff backed up.

I was this close to selling it as broken for £40.  I bought it last April on Backmarket for £500.

I did a factory reset via the Settings yesterday and that did not seem to work.

I then went into Recovery Mode (plug usb into a laptop/PC, power button + up volumne) and also did a Cache Wipe and a Reset data / Factory settings options.  Was annoyed with the phone so left the phone die over night and to my surprise its been working so far today.

I have turned off all auto updates in the device, in the Play Store and also in the Galaxy Store - nice description here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vhvWFPhfJE

Might actually get my phone insured now as it was bought unlocked from Backmarket (who were totally useless). For the record if you are a UK resident - CEX was offering me £65 for a broken phone whereas Backmarket only £43.  I will be shopping with CEX from now on as they offer 5 year warranties whereas Backmarket only offered 1.

Good luck everyone.

Oh and Samsung - thanks for SFA.

Spoke too soon. I got about 36 hours out of it before it started rebooting. *****
