Hi all

I'm just wondering, I'm pretty sure that it's not just me with this issue.

There is noise coming from the camera module, I believe its the OIS and 100x zoom? Am I correct?

When I operate the camera, they can no longer be heard.

I've read that it is normal, my Note10+ did the same, it was the OIS module, didn't affect the phone in any way at all.

Makes you wonder about quality control tho. Didn't have any noises coming out of my S21 ultra. And it's not a cheap phone to be making weird noises 😅

Personally, I can see what you mean, but it was the same for my Note8 and Note10+.

But you are in good hands, Samsung, from my perspective don’t really cut corners, especially with their devices. For example, I dropped my Note10+ accidentally a few times on carpet and even hard floors with and without a case on, and it didn't crack, scuff and scratch, so that's very good.

Yeah, I know. Been with Samsung since the s9 and been upgrading every year since. I tend to be quite careful with all my devices but they do seem to be sturdy. Just annoying that noises that could potentially be avoided are on these top end devices tho.

Yep I know what you mean.

I've also noticed, the more careful you are, the more likely you are to drop your phone 🤦 🤦 🤦

If your talking about the tapping noise when you shake the phone.
The camera module inside will be moving around.
It's part of the optical image stabilisation. When you power the camera module up, it will then be trying to stabilise. So you won't hear it.
This is perfectly normal. If the lens was fixed in place you wouldn't have OIS. Being its a larger lens as well.
Did it on my Note 10+, Note 20 Ultra.
Does it on my Google Pixel 6 Pro and even hear a little rattle on my iPhone 12 Pro Max.
In fact you will see on professional DSLR cameras like the one I have. When you power them down, the sensor moves around freely.
To have them stay locked in place when you are not using the cameras, it would just consume battery power
