Hello,
I was previously able to connect to mobile data on my samsung galaxy s22 for the last year and a half. After my phone patched and restarted earlier this week, I no longer can connect to mobile data. It shows that I can connect to 4g but the down arrow is greyed out while the up arrow is white.
I've tried to restart my phone and have contacted my carrier and they have let me know that they show no issue on their side.

Sorry to hear of your troubles.
Can you please start by performing a Reset MOBILE Network Settings.
This won't delete your WiFi or other settings but it will make your device reconnect to your network.

Can you test your sim card in another phone as a process of elimination @Albert341
There is also a diagnostic test tool found in your Samsung Members App , however sometimes a reboot of your phone can help.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Okay so I had exactly same issues as yours, it started around March 2024.
Purchased my phone in November 2022, in EU, we have 3 years of warranty. So I sent the phone to official Samsung repair centre and they discovered that the issue with GSM signals is genuine and they would need a part to fix it, a day after I received an email that Samsung doesn't have those parts anymore hence they provided me the full refund. Policy might be different if you purchased via carriers. But since I purchased directly from Samsung website, I got a full refund from November 2022. Purchased s24 Ultra.
