I bought a Samsung s22 off of amazon prime last week and paid full price for it. I have used the phone for 5 days before I recived a notification saying it was part of an incomplete trade in offer and it will be locked in 72 hours. I have called samsung help which referred me to a number only open week days (I got this notification at 7 pm on a Friday night) I've sent off several emails that have all been ignored and I'm living in a state of so much stress not knowing what to do as I got rid of my old broken phone and I go away this week so I need my phone for train tickets, travel details and contact home.

I am absolutely fuming with the lack of communication and lack of help and do not know what to do. I feel entirely helpless and at a loss. The phone itself has been ideal but I wish I never bought it after this mess.

Hi,
Have you tried to contact the person you purchased the phone from?

Give Amazon a call they'll no doubt send you another device.

Best of luck

You definitely need to contact the seller of the phone as without the trade in details. There won't be anything Samsung will be able to help with.
As its Amazon. I would be looking at returning the device and getting your money back.
As inconvenient as it is, you really won't have much of an option
Quite possible the seller has been duped or knows the situation

Sounds more like a reseller on amazon you purchased the phone from rather than amazon direct.

As others have stated you need to speak to the person you purchased the phone from.

If it was me I'd send the phone back for a refund and if as you say you paid full price buy it off amazon not some unknown reseller on amazon.

@Devileah

Samsung wont be able to help you with stopping any locking as this sounds like the seller of the phone has not completed a Trade In Deal they signed upto.

Your not their original buyer so won't be able to unlock it.

Send the phone back for a refund ASAP.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Unfortunate and it is a mess for sure but luckily as you got it via Amazon you should be able to obtain the full refund. Make sure all your communications is via Amazon channel and customer support.
