The OP is talking about the Work profile that gets created (if your organisation has this configured at their end), when you add a work email address to your Android phone. Your organisation is just taking advantage of existing Android functionality that is fully supported by other stock Android features. This includes the feature to turn on/off the Work profile according to a time schedule.
The OP is not talking about the "Work" mode, which is simply a label for setting simple triggered behaviours, under the "Modes and Routines" setting.
Unfortunately, while stock Android allows you to schedule the Work profile, Samsung has removed this from the "Digital Wellbeing and parental controls" settings.
I have tried and failed to set this up with Routines and Routines+ (which you can get through Samsung's Good Luck app).

Just to be clear: The Work profile gets added to your back screen, and can be enabled and disabled at will.
Presumably like me, the OP wants to schedule that the Work profile automatically enables at 9am and automatically disables at 5pm (or whatever time - which is what the "Work profile schedule" setting does).
