How to increase image size ?

I have no problem resizing image but only smaller than its original size.  Pls advise how to increase its size and resolution?

What are you using to resize the image and what do you want to increase it to? Generally speaking you can't increase the image quality

On Linux I can increase image size with following steps;
(if image original size = 225x225)
running following command on terminal I can increase its size
$ convert -resize 800x800 original_image.png output_image.png

How to do it on Galaxy phone?

You could try Samsung app Galaxy X Enhance, load the picture and see if you get the increase resolution option.
