My Gallery suddenly stopped syncing with one drive 5 days ago. I have disconnected, signed out, rebooted phone, connected etc again. Nothing has worked. When I try and sync manually it says it can't sync whilst connected to a mobile hot spot. It's actual connected to my home WiFi as usual. I have asked it to sync over mobile data and turned off WiFi. Still won't work. Any help gratefully received.

Iv'e never been able to sync my Gallery too since the back up was removed by Samsung over to Microsoft Onedrive, I'm using a S22ultra so it's not because my phone is old and also having to sign out to sign back in to Onedrive, it's never worked so I just backup my photos in Google Photo's instead. The stupid thing is I can back up my onedrive in Microsoft account but not the Gallery app itself, crazy!

I have the S22 also, never had any problems with my S20. I'll be following the same option I think. Thanks for getting back to me.

Hi there, @Carrie107. Please can you let me know which steps you followed to sync your Gallery with OneDrive?

If you haven't tried it this way, I recommend opening the Gallery app > Click the three lines on the bottom right > Settings > Sync with OneDrive (toggle this on).

On the OneDrive app itself, click on Settings and please ensure that Gallery sync is showing under the section headed by Samsung photos.

Within the same Settings menu, please go to the Network heading and choose whether you wish to Sync offline files "Over Wi-Fi only" or "Over Wi-Fi and mobile network."

Please let me know whether this helps.

Hi, thank you for your reply. Yes I have done that. It is always set up to sync. I have disconnected and reconnected to the one drive account, cleared cache and data, rebooted phone. Everything short of a factory reset. I have been in touch with tech support also. They could offer nothing more. When I try and sync manually it tells me it can't sync as in on a mobile hotspot. But I'm on my home WiFi! I've then switched WiFi off and tried to manually sync on data. The sync now button then won't work at all. Thank you for your reply

It had been working fine. The last sync was on 10/04/23 at 19.10. It then just mysteriously stopped!

You're welcome, @Carrie107. If you haven't done so already, I recommend submitting an Error report, so that our developers can take a closer look at this for you (just in case there are some adjustments they can recommend from their side):

Please let us know when you get this resolved.

I personally use Google One for my backups. It's just easier and also I sometimes dabble with Google Pixel phones so I am kinda set.

@Carrie107: Can you try connecting to another Wi-Fi router, a friend or family members, to see if the issue persists? This will help to determine if the issue is stemming from your home Wi-Fi connection, or if it is a wider problem.
