I updated my phone on Christmas day and for the past few days, it has been constantly switching itself off and on. It feels very hot on the back near the camera lenses. Anyone else having the same problem, or know how to solve it please? I have swapped my sim in to my old S20+ for the moment.

Back up your stuff to google one. Factory reset and then start as new.

Install apps as and when you need them.

Also make sure apps are updated in both Google and Samsung store.

One possible reason for heat is syncing error where the phone is trying to sync something and it's not happening.

You could check under settings and accounts.

Also background data.

The problem is that it is not staying on long enough to access settings/apps, etc. It switches itself on and off constantly for 25 minutes, then remains on, but when I try to access an app, it starts the on/off cycle for 25 minutes again. It definitely is something to do with th UI update as it was appearing when it restarted, but now all that is happening is the Samsung galaxy screen lights up, then switches off again. If I get a chance and it stabilises, I will try your suggestions. Thanks. Happy New Year.

Did you manage to fix this issue? Mine has been  doing the same for a couple of days and now started to do it more often.

We have the same problem on an A90 5G.  During updates the device is fine but once the UI starts there is a constant cycle of black screen and on again.  The cycling activity seems to heat the device up.  Have done full factory reset and turned off as many settings as possible but nothing seems to fix the fault.

Have you found a solution?
