I can no longer speed up or slow-down any video that's hasn't been recorded with the camera. Anybody else?

I'm experiencing the same problem. I have sent a feedback report to Samsung. Hopefully this will get adressed . The issue is most likely that in OneUI 6 "Video Editor" was replaced with "Studio". The old editor is still there, now called "Editor Lite", but no longer accessible.

I noticed the same issue last night, searched and found this thread. After playing around with the app I think I found a solution (S22 Ultra)

Open photo app, select video, go into settings and then advanced settings. I found that if I turned on HDR10+ on then I could not edit the speed. However, once I turned that off, recorded a video, that video I could edit the speed on.

For me it seems to be if the video is recorded in HDR10+.

HDR 10+ (labs) is off on mine, so that's not it for me, on my S21.

It works fine in my Samsung video editor. I created a Full HD video at 60fps and was able to save it at 30fps."

I've been having the same issues, and came across this discussion. I worked out how to resolve it on my phone (S23) as follows:

- open the camera

- go to settings (top left)

- scroll down to 'Videos' section of settings

- select 'Advanced video options'

- change video format to 'H.264 most compatible'

When i did this, the video speed editing reappeared along with some other editing functionality that was not available with the 'HVEC (High efficiency) mode it had somehow defaulted itself to.

strange because the speed adjusting works for me with the HVEC too!

It seems that FHD videos only have the speed up option. I've downloaded video I made from my video clips on instagram and started editing it in the Galery Studio app. I've added other videos I filmed on my phone (Samsung Galaxy A54) but only downloaded video had the speed up option in the editor. The only difference between my videos and the downloaded video was the resolution setting, my videos where UHD and the downloaded video was FHD, I switched to FHD video setting in the camera app and voila, speed up option is now available.
