It's a Smart Phone let it do its thing.
I'd say use it to It's full potential.
And as stated end of the day post your battery usage. So we know which apps are draining your battery.
Battery drainers are:
If you use high brightness.
Locations for apps ( if always ON)
Poor network signal.
Social media apps that involve unlimited scrolling.
Permissions manager is your friend for taming location Permissions which you don't need all the time.
Also apps using data in the background.

With WiFi only I can manage 6+ hours of SoT but with Data and Bluetooth on throughout the day it will be more like 4 maybe 5hs total
Using an hour of YT music and Bluetooth on my commute burns down 11% of the battery which I think it's quite high considering other devices.
You'll find a lot of users saying they're getting 7+ hours but that's them mostly watching video or browsing Facebook. Watching video inflates SoT massively since watching video doesn't really take as much battery as having the screen off and listening to music.
Sometimes it seems like it's better to watch a video with data and Bluetooth headphones than listening to music with screen off because I end up loosing the same amount of battery regardless which is really weird...

But it varies, some days I get almost 7 hours of screen on time, others about 5 hours.
