I'm facing the same problem. The battery drains in only 6-8 hours with only limited usage. I think this is an "update bug" that Samsung will optimise away in coming updates.

I have seen standard replies from Samsung in other communities with steps to improve battery life, which I think can be summarised as "Shut most services off. Do not use online services. Consider resetting your device." This is perhaps a slightly unfair summary as some steps are adequate and Samsung are good at maintaining their installed base, but it annoys me that the advice avoids taking the blame for an insufficiently tested update and that it, in reality, suggests that we should not use our devices like we normally do; battery life has indeed not been impressive before for most of my Notes and my current S22 Ultra, but this is close to rock bortom.

(Besides embarrasing battery life that Samsung must improve immediately, my S22U is still an impressive flagship. Readability improved greatly with One UI 6.0. DeX is really great. But please add Samsung mail to Watch 4 and 5.)

The same for A52s, fast drain, slow charge. I tried wipe cache, 2 times full cycle battery (full discharge-full charge with device off) nothing, like Samsung want us to regret for update ours devices.

Just recently updated, and the battery doesn't even last 12 with just general use of the phone device I've got is Samsung a52 and wish the ui update didn't even exist as the phone was far better without it scrap the *****

Hey all,

If you're experiencing a major battery loss after the update, and you're unsure why this is the case or if you've tried different troubleshooting steps to try and fix the issue but it still persists, please send in an error report so that our engineers can look into this further. You can do this via Samsung Members > Get help > Error report. Please be sure to include the error logs, alongside a detailed entry of the issue, and screenshots of the battery usage (Settings > Battery and device care > Battery). Once our engineers review this, our colleagues will be in touch.

Same issue here!!! It's terrible

My S21 was brilliant on battery- would last days.

Now, after charging to 100% over night, by 830am I'm at 80% battery with no use other than whatsapp/ messaging.

The new interface is pretty dated looking too. The worst update I've experienced on both Samsung and Apple.

Updated to One UI 6 yesterday! (A52) The battery is draining so quickly! Needs fixed ASAP, phone is not even lasting the day with little usage! Battery at 39% only after 5 hours with little usage!

I have just bought a brand new A34 and the battery drains really quickly. It's worse than the really old Motorola phone I was replacing.  This urgently needs fixing. I am really disappointed and am carrying my old phone as a back up

 Awful!

I received the One UI 6 update and another update just a few days ago. I am now losing charge even when plugged in and a full charge lasts about 3 hours. I have removed the apps that drain the battery the most, have cleared cache, optimized my phone, and have restarted. Nothing is making a difference. Guidance? I don't dare leave the house without a charger.
