Solved! Go to Solution.

Greetings from Ecuador.
I don't know if all of us who trust Samsung should stop buying because of situations like this? I purchased a Galaxy S21 Ultra and the problems have been one after another, despite putting up with all of them, it makes me sad that a brand that, in my country was recognized, does not provide clear answers and solutions on the defects in their devices or operating system. I do not know if they do not care about losing users, or it is simply part of a programmed obsolescence. Despite being an official Samsung forum, no representative formally states what is denounced in this and many other forums.
Still waiting!

I got mine 2nd-hand off eBay, so have no recourse if it's bricked by an update. (It's an S21, but I assume fairly similar.)

I got the same. Surely it should be 6.1.1, if it has bug fixes for 6.1. I installed it. It doesn't seem to have changed anything.

Yes!! I have had nothing but disaster since installing the UI upgrade!!!
My S22 had freezing issues with prior upgrade so i was hoping this latest would fix that. How naive!!
It has made the phone progressively worse through frequent freeze/reboot cycles to the point where it now loads the Samsung screen followed by the Samsung Galaxy screen on a perpetual cycle til the battery runs down.
This renders any of the possible "fixes" unusable as there is never a point at which the operating system can respond! Very frustrating and hugely disappointing. As a lifelong Samsung devotee, I am frankly appalled by the lack of ownership shown by Samsung to correct this technical failure of their regression process.
If anyone has any advice please let me know urgently......my recommendation is if you haven't yet applied the new release .... DON'T!!
Regards
Peter

My device heats up like crazy to a point that it feels scalding to my hands even when not charging. I have now resorted to attaching aluminum bumper /heatsink at the back to help cool the device, nothing help much.
given the opportunity, id rather roll back to UI prior to 6.1
Im afraid if this keeps on, it would cause the display connections to desolder causing the famous green lines

I am from India. I also faced the same issue with my S22 mobile. I went to service center yesterday and they told that I need to replace the motherboard and the cost is around 29k INR .
I cannot understand what is going on.

Subject: Issue with S22 Plus Green Line After Latest Update
Hi @RahinS94 ,
Yes, I'm experiencing the green line issue on my S22 Plus after the latest update. I visited customer service, but they informed me that the free replacement is not applicable for the S22 Plus. They also mentioned that since my phone was bought abroad, no free replacement is available for it.
I'm really confused about what to do next. They quoted the cost of the display replacement at ₹14,500, which is quite high. I don't understand why @Samsung isn't taking responsibility for this issue, especially when it's clearly related to the update. This is really disappointing.
Thanks, Niyamathulla
