Stop me if you've heard this: I find a photo from which I try to remove an item--like a small stuffed animal. I use the AI editing tool, select it, tap on the eraser, hit generate, and a new photo is generated: it's flawless, and the item I was trying to delete is gone, as if it were never there! I'm happy with the result, and don't need anything else, so I hit "done". It asks me to "save a copy"--and I press that. Suddenly the erased item returns and no copy (with it missing) is saved. I've done this with several photos, same result. I have a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, totally updated (including all the apps). And I'm baffled.
