New volkswagen caddy 22 can't connect android auto with my s22 ultra. My wife s21 ultra 5g works smooth. Trying all the time withe the original cable usb-c to usb-c, original cable from my old Samsung usb-a to usb-c with usb-c dongle, followed all tips found on Google, no avail. Anyone knows any other workaround ? Would Samsung do something about this? (seems like a common problem based on Google) in the end I bought a premium phone and I'm waiting to do at least super basic things like connecting with a God ***** car kit.

Hi @Blana, good morning. Do you get an error code or something when you try to connect? Have you also checked if there is an update available for your car system? And did you also try a new/different USB-C cable?

Kind regards,

Martijn

4 cables, 3 dongles, x times reseting, reinstalling, clear cache, clear data, you name it. Reseting infotainment unit, which is up to date and works fine with my wife s21 ultra and my brother iPhone 13. No errors, it seems on the phone ends like it tries to open Android Auto as I connect to car for 0.2 seconds than the charging stops for a bit than the "The phone cannot be connected" message prompts to the infotainment unit while on the phone the charging restarts and on the notification bar the Android Auto is prompted as "Android Auto is connected"
Hopefully I'm explicit enough, starts to feel like a God ***** challenge with no real solutions.

To find out whether this can be solved with an update from us, it is best to submit an error report via the Samsung Members app. My colleagues from the R&D department also receive a log from your phone and get a better picture of it. If this can be solved with an update, it will also be rolled out as soon as possible. You can submit an error report via our Samsung Members app. Open the Samsung Members app and choose Support, then scroll down a bit and you will see Error reports.

Exactly the same problem, vw caddy 22, s22 ultra, same message that it can not connect, tried different cables, resets, updates, etc. Did send a message to Samsung. Hope something comes out...

Can anyone try to connect s22 in another car? I don't know anyone with cabled Android Auto in the car. If that works we know if the problem is samsung or vw I guess

Well the problem is s22 and s22 ultra with SOME infotainment units (based on Google) mine works after a couple of tries with Opel Combo for example, but even there sometimes blocks/crashes and the connection works when it wants, on the other hand with other phones works as soon as you plugged in. But in Caddy after I don't know how many attempts and workarounds tried not even once doesn't seems to work ...

Tried the s21 plus and works fine, even old s9 no problem. For now I connect the old s9 with bleutooth to my s22 ultra to be online and the s9 connect with Android. Frustrating for a €1300 phone...

I'm impatient for the Android 13 update, maybe there would be a fix ... should be pushed anyday now ...
