Hi, when i make normal voice calls people can't hear me properly and say I sound robotic. But when I call via WhatsApp they can hear me clearly.

Has anyone else has this issue? It's been happening for months

Hi everyone, I just got my Samsung Galaxy s21 FE a few days ago, and it worked perfectly, until the latest software update. Namely, the sound on the top speaker became significantly worse, it's crackled and distorted during calls and while playing audio. I've tried testing the audio by dialing *#0*# and it's still not working properly. Please help.

Hi all,

have you tried to run a Hardware test on the phone to see if there is an issue with the speaker? This can be performed from the Samsung Members app> Get help> Under Diagnosis tap View test> Speaker.

Thank you for your answer.

Yes, I've tried that . It says In-call speaker: Normal and Media speaker-Normal. As I mentioned earlier the sound became worse after the latest software update, so I am pretty sure it's not a hardware issue.

Thanks for giving that a try! Does this only affect some particular calls or all of them? Have you checked if the same happens whilst the phone is placed in Safe Mode? Find how to run the phone in Safe Mode here: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/

I've just run the Safe Mode and tried to make a phone call while in Safe Mode and the sound is still crackling. I've also seen other people complaining about the same problem with the previous S21 models 😞

Have you had the phone examined by one of our engineers to see if they are able to find the fault @marijat95?

If you are in the UK you can locate your nearest one from here: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/service-centre/

For other countries please follow this link: https://www.samsung.com/uk/function/ipredirection/ipredirectionLocalList/

If you feel that this is down to a software issue, please send our developers an Error Report so they can get this looked at.

To do this head to the Samsung Members app> Get help> Error reports (please make sure to replicate the issue then file the report within 5-10minutes of the issue occurring, please provide a timestamp if possible).

Here is a guide on how to use the screen recorder: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/record-and-capture-your-galaxy-phone-screen/#:~:te....

Once here toggle on 'Send system log data' (if not already toggled on), you will notice a notification at the top that indicates logs are being captured, this means any issues occurring in the background of the software our engineers can locate these and let us know the next steps.

Please allow time for this notification to change to indicate they have been captured. Now fill in your report, please include examples of the issue if possible by hitting the paper clip in the top right corner. Make sure to fill in as much detail as possible and send this off, we will then have our engineers check these over for you.

Please add any screenshots or screen recordings by hitting the paperclip in the top right, this can help us understand your issue further.
