S21 Ultra Security Patch January 1 2022 bug

Today I received the latest update of the Security Patch on my S21 Ultra.

After the update, a black box appears on the top right of my screen, just turned on pixels covering my battery % information.
Whenever I screenshot, and check the shot on my gallery while sliding, the pixels underneath the box are fine and the % shows.
Whenever I restart the phone, there's a point when the box is not there just to show after a split second.
The update is January/2022  Security Patch.

Thank you to anyone who might help me.

Lol..go to settings-> developer options-> simulate display with cutout and select "default"

If you cant find developer options in your settings. Go to settings-> about phone-> software information and then keep tapping "build number" till it says developer options is now active. Now go back and follow the steps above.

Haven't got it myself in the UK yet.
You could try turning off the battery indicator and restarting the phone and turning it ON again.
You could also WIPE CACHE the phone and while there do the REPAIR APPS as well.

Hello, I tried all of the above, nothing really fixed it.
However I tried playing with the display resolution (changed to 4k and back to FullHD) and now it's not covering the % anymore, they just shifted right and somehow  "accepted" the black space. Find the photo below:

That's definitely the wallpaper lol

My advice comes from being a UK Samsung phone user.

Current Devices:
  • Samsung S21 Ultra 5G 256Gb > Model: SM-G998B/DS.
  • Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic > Model: SM-R890NZSAEUA.
  • Samsung Galaxy Buds+ > Model: SM-R175.

It's not the wallpaper, if it was, the info wouldn't shift to the left and make space for it. Here's the screenshot where it shows the pixels underneath are not turned on.: Screenshot.jpeg

Looking at the images on a desktop and zooming in on the issue I think you're right, it's not the wallpaper. How weird!
