I think i read somewhere that WiFi calling may be linked to your mobile phone carrier.

Yeah....am with tesco who say they support WiFi calling

U need to contact network provider who send carrier update file and then it activates. Had same issue with Vodafone who did just that. So contact tesco and they will send a carrier update to your phone. It will be fixed.
