I've not experienced this issue either with using wireless charging or charging using a Samsung charging brick and cable @splodge77 before or after the December updates.
Are you able to try another official Samsung Brick and cable just as a process of elimination.
Also check inside the charging ort with a torch just to ensure no debris is inside.
Your phone has a diagnostic tool in your Samsung Members app.
Failing that you may need to let a Samsung Service Centre have hands on to check the phone over.
