After the August update, when I reboot my phone, it shows a persistent notification "Secure Folder locked" under Android system section...the only way to make it go is to unlock my secure folder.
I don't want to uninstall Secure Folder, just looking for an one time solution to get rid of that pesky notification. TIA

I'm not comfortable installing third party apps and even worse giving them permission to mess and spy my phone!

Fair enough! But you're only permitting it to hide your notifications. The notification is there you just can't see it. I would not install it if you don't understand what your doing.

I understand very well what I'm doing, that's why I have safety concern installing it. If you don't have, that's your call but people should know about the safety issue.

Let's be clear it's not a 3rd party App.. It's available from the Google Play Store. That's not to say the Play Store has a 100% safety track record for Andriod Apps.

Thanks so much for sharing this info!! I'm concerned about my banking info and other personal info, though. I'm going to look into this app further. Thanks again 🙂

WHY IS THIS STILL A THING, SAMSUNG?
I don't want the secure folder announcing itself to everyone every reboot! I especially don't want it to be non-dismissable too!

I've been using it for almost half a year... Nice to have my phone back. The guy that was "concerned" about the app probably thought it was a third party app, as in not on the Play Store. Google has verified the app's intentions and allowed it on their store. It's passed my virus and mail ware checker all this time. Also, businesses should never send any important or personal information by a notification.
Honestly, if you want to be concerned about anything, it's unlocking your secure folder all the time... That's just pointless.

After 40 minutes on Samsung support:
"This notification is a concept that was recently discussed with the security department to enhance the security of the Secure folder.
Previously, when the device was unlocked after rebooting, it was provided to enable app operation (Notification, etc.) inside the security folder for the convenience of the user, but according to the analysis that this operation may be vulnerable to security of the Secure folder while the terminal is unlocked, it has been changed to enable app operation inside the security folder only when the user explicitly unlocks the security folder during rebooting.
Therefore, if you do not unlock the Secure folder after rebooting, you will not be able to operate the internal app, so we will provide a guide notification for this. Please understand that this is a measure to strengthen the security of the Secure folder, and the notification is displayed only when rebooted, and once released, it does not occur again."
The bottom line is Samsung do not care about their customers. My advice by a device from a different Manufacturer.
