TuneIn Radio and Spotify automatically stop playing when screen locks since last week's upgrade

Since I completed the software upgrade last week TuneIn Radio and Spotify automatically stop playing when screen lock kicks in.

I think it is relating to the screen lock for when I set the timer to 10min it did not happen.

Has anyone else come across this issue since the upgrade. Very annoying when out walking/running and constantly have to turn apps back on.

Not sure if related but I have RunKeeper also running in the background.

Again only stated only started happening last week's since upgrade.

Must have defaulted back onto the sleeping apps list. Make sure you add it back to the exclusion list.
Go to, or search in settings for "App power management", to get access to the list of Sleeping Apps, Deep Sleeping Apps, and Apps that won't be put to sleep.
Also by long pressing on the app and clicking App Info u should also have available a toggle to "Allow app to run in background"

That worked. I removed them from the list and re-added and also set allow app to run in background.

I'm using Galaxy S10+ and the solution didn't fix my situation.

Spotify and Podcast Addict still stop playing Podcasts.
