Galaxy Note 9 Locking up

When I download a new theme on my Galaxy Note 9 and apply the new theme the phone locks up on me and I have to restart the device to gain full access to my phone. Anyone have any ideal how to fix this issue?

@ArkyTigger_63: Are you downloading and applying the themes via Settings > Wallpapers and themes? If so, please head to Wallpapers and themes > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Scroll down > About Galaxy Themes, and check for any updates here (Wi-Fi connection required).
