I dropped my phone (Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G) just over a week ago and smashed the screen so sent it off to be replaced. I have received the phone back and it seemed ok. I charged it, updated the software and tried to use it. Unfortunately the back button stopped working almost immediately. I tried a display tester and it showed 96.7% of the screen was working.

I backed up my data and factory reset the phone and it worked just fine. Restored my data and it was still fine. Then I reinput my fingerprint unlock method and the problem persisted again.

Why would the fingerprint unlock effect the screen in this way? Has anyone had a similar problem and found a solution?

Hi, sorry to hear about your problem. Unfortunately, it sounds like a problem with the repair, you need to return it to whomever repaired it. If it was Samsung get onto customer services.
