Software updates out the box

Hi I just got the note 9 and straight out the box I've had to do 7 software updates is this normal?

The phone will have shipped with the most recent update at the time but it then depends how long it's been on the shelf to how much further forward new updates have progressed. 

So yes its normal to expect updates when first powered on @Numberoneaunty

That is normal that get all them updates, I had a update with-in a month of getting my note 9. I don’t like the changing notification curcle. I liked the green orbs from the previous update.
