Samsung Dex on tv via HDMI

Hello, 

I have a Samsung Note 10+ 5g, 

I am attempting to connect my phone via a HDMI adapter to my JVC TV, but the TV will not pick up my device but it has connected successfully to a LG TV in the past.

Is this a compatibility issue or do I need to do something else first for it to work?

I have a similar issue.. I've got a 50 inch TCL tv however I was never able to make Dex work on it..

I strongly believe it's the first point you shared.. I thought Dex worked on any screen.. I mean, the software runs on the phone and just uses the display to display the UI

Im honestly not sure to be honest, I too thought it was just a matter of plug and play🤷🏻 🤔
