S Pen, Smart Select issue

I just started having an issue with the S Pen when using Smart Select to extract text. 

It extracts the text and I copy that text to Clipboard.   The issue now?  I swipe up to go back one step and the S Pen remains in the state of wanting to extract more text. 

This issue only started within the last week.  I use the Smart Select to copy text from Facebook when replying to someone.

I reset the phone to default ... Reset Settings.  No change.  I then perfomed a Factory Data Reset ... and that also made no difference.

Is this a known issue?
