Notification sound level

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I'll put it out there anyway.. Is there a way to increase/decrease notification volume for individual apps? I have a custom email notification that I would like to keep. However it's extremely loud. It gives me a mini heart attack every time I receive a new email.  I have the phone notification sound level set so low I can barely hear new text notifications. I would settle for a third party app.

Thank you for the reply. I've already messed around with the sound quality and effects. While the separate app sound could possibly be a workaround, I was really hoping to find a way to turn down the volume on my email notifications only. I might search again for a third party app. Unfortunately the ones I've found won't work.

Me personally i would change the notification sound to a more subtle one that is much less imposing 👍

Don't quote me on this but have a look at the soundassist app from Samsung. I haven't used it in a while but it might help you.

Galaxyyouser that's probably the simplest solution. I might end up doing just that. Thank you Steve and Osito I'll check Sound Assist out.
