MY fingerprint sensor stopped working after an official screen replacement by samsung
reason for screen replacement; my screen went white after using it for 2-3 years thus i had to pay for replacement as my warranty got expired.
note; my father used it for a year or so but he did not use finger print to unlock his phone
after he gave it to me i discovered this issue.

My fingerprint sensor just stopped working and I was told that it was the LCD screen which needed replacing. I can't access anything on the phone, can't restart etc. Could this be possible? It won't charge, either

Hello, I’m a phone technician. I have realized that the newer phones such as yours, have issues with aftermarket screens. I believe it started with update UI 60, sometimes they’re able to fix it and hack it and make it work, and then it might fail for other others. I used to recommend using aftermarket screens because they are much cheaper, however, now, I have to give them a warning that it might work for a little while, but an update could make it stop working. Unfortunately, you were told that you had to change your screen because it’s probably an aftermarket screen and you need to use a refurbished one. It’s a bunch of ***** if you ask m, because you could get an aftermarket screen for sale 100 150, but instead they’re forcing you basically to get a screen that cost between 250 and 300. That’s before labor.  in a nutshell, don’t get aftermarket screens, spend the money to get refurbished because you might run into this type of issue. I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Just figured I’d put my two cents ,  hope this helps!

Thanks for your explanation, but your statement is not 100% correct, Perhaps you have never experienced fingerprint issue with A52, that’s why you blame the spare-parts, but this problem happened to us two times, we only use Samsung service-parts and replaced about 300 Samsung A52/52s displays, however in both cases the diagnostic showed no error but we basically couldn’t register the fingerprint, even factory reset didn’t help.
