Bowness-On-Windermere

Bowness-On-Windermere is in Cumbria and sits next to Lake Windermere & the town of Windermere.

It was such a lovely day, this hotel which overlooks the lake was serving drinks from a refurbished horse box so we sat here for about an hour and just chilled taking in the scene.

It certainly is and a visit is a must, the scenery is just stunning! Plenty of places to eat and gift shops etc just a short walk away.

The lakeside is lovely in the evenings. Very busy with tourists often though, so I hide away in the hills normally. About 50min from me.

Yes it does get very busy, it's just over a couple of hours drive from me so usually head out early and stay the whole day. Later in the evening we head to Beech hill car park and walk down by the lake to watch the sunset.
