WiFi sensitivity: A52 or A52s 5g? (through walls)

Hello. To choose between A52 or A52s 5g.

In lodgings, wi-fi signal is weak through the walls. My g7 keeps disconnecting. Those 2 Samsung's are similar performers for what I need. The only serious matter is wi-fi antenna sensitivity, the only point of decision.

Can anyone try and measure/compare in real world, which one has more stable/stronger/better wi-fi reception on long distance from router via some walls? (just for 2,5g). Just random, non scientific test, please.

5GHz drops off at a rate of knots compared to 2.4GHz, if you can do so try connecting via the latter instead.https://forums.androidcentral.com/general-help-how/1028563-need-change-5-0-2-4-ghz-galaxy-a51.html

I appreciate your effort, but if you read my question, you couldn't reply about 5Ghz.

Do you own both phones?

There is only one way to answer: to compare reception on both devices. Can you do that? Don't worry, mate. Have a good day.

I want to apologize to be grumpy.

I was hoping for comparison, but it's hard to find it on net.

I guess, I'll stick with luck.

Thank you for reply, Antikythera.

The 5G refers to the mobile network capability as in 3G/4G/5G and not how well it works on WiFi. Both should perform identically over WiFi so my answer still stands. No offense taken to the grumpy answer :winking-face:

Probably wi-fi hardware is not equal in those two models. Because it's said, that A52s 5G offers wi-fi 6 standart, which A52 doesn't.

At the beginning I incorrectly wrote 2.5g. There should be 2.4Ghz! Which refers to wi-fi band, where I need device to be tested. My bad.

Is the router you connect to WiFi 6? If not it won't make any difference. Honestly the signal will be the same between the two phones for WiFi as they share antenna which is the critical factor in mobile phone designs rather than the WiFi chip for signal strength. So for future proofing go for the 5G model but if that isn't important then by all means get the cheaper version
