When you archive an app, the icon for the app should still show up on the phone as if it was installed. Pressing the app icon will download it again

Previously I hid the application from the home screen so that the application icon did not appear and I thought it was the same as archiving. In the end I pressed archive the application and it could not be restored

@Bimo1103: Head to the Google Play Store > Tap your profile in the top right > Manage apps and device > Manage > Swipe left via the boxed off options towards the top of the screen > Archived > Select the app > Restore.
