What is SDCardBackup in internal memory Galaxy A21s?

Just got new A21s.   Did transfer all data from C.Prime to A21s option.  Fine.

Looking now at Internal Storage and it shows SdCardBackUp has 202 items.   

What's SdCardBackUp?

I wondered why a new Folder was created called SDCardBackup, which contained evrything that is held on my SD, which I had just transferred from my old phone to the new one.  It looks like it is part of the automatic process, when you transfer the content of an old phone to a new one. A safeguard, I guess.  I have tried deleting items from this Folder, and that seems to work OK.  I suspect that it doesn't like the folder being deleted, but sub folders shouldn't be a problem.

I have the same issue with my S23, but I cannot delete anything within the sdcardbackup folder. Since the S23 does not support an SD card, why does this folder even exist?
