Made the switch from Apple to Samsung, just to understand if what I want is possible.

I've manually installed the apps as I know the apps work on different platforms but is there is the following I'm struggling with:-

  • can I get text messages transferred across
  • can i get health data from the iOS health app transferred across (guessing no)
  • can I get notes transferred across
  • I'm missing old messages in facebook messenger
  • how to get favourites moved to edge from safari (I can probably do this one)
  • how to get favourites moved to edge from duck2go (I can probably do this one)
  • which is the best maps app to use (no ads please)
  •
  •
  •

OH, yeah sorry about that I totally misread your original post. I read it as "from samsung to apple"

This is the apple to samsung one.

Thanks I used that and moved my notes across but not the missing messenger messages or the SMS texts.

Strange, it should have transfered sms over. You might be able to find another app to do it.

As for messenger, not something I use so not sure

I'll maybe try with a cable as the smart switch didn't do it.

@bromley2110 some information on moving chats from iPhone to Android Device here ,some limitations with other Data https://faq.whatsapp.com/1295296267926284

When using Smartswitch App Transfer is problematic as indicated. Whilst the software will try to find equivalent apps will not always be successful. You will need to download a number of Apps afresh. Some information here https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-switch-from-ios/

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.
