Samsung music won't play music!

Samsung music will not play music on my recently purchased A14 phone. Plays perfectly well on my Samsung tablet and old A51 phone. Can anyone help?

Hi @Gwynndav  Welcome to the community   which format are the music files? 

 Due to changes in codec  support policy  WMA/WMV  codecs are no longer supported in new products from 2021 onwards.

Samsung Music  natively supports these file types:  mp3, m4a, mp4, 3gp, 3ga, ogg, oga, aac, and flac. some other Music players support a wider variety such as Poweramp and VLC.

No problem, if unsupported format on Samsung Music other option is to convert.

My S15 will not play installed mp3 files; it just comes back some some message about youtube, and I'm not trying to do anything on youtube -- I am asking it to play an mp3 that I loaded from my computer.
