Samsung memory handling question

Hi, I noticed something strange with the way how memory management is done on my Samsung A55 that has 8GB of RAM. So I have the Device Care widget and I can see that the amount of used RAM is always between 3.4GB and 5.3GB. Even if I open 70 apps (including big ones like Facebook, Instagram, Samsung Internet, TikTokel etc.) the RAM usage didn't go above 5.3GB. I installed Good Guardians and in Memory Guardian I choose Quick Switching Mode which supposedly keeps apps in memory for longer. It had minimal effect, the maximum RAM usage went up to 5.4GB. So my question: what is the reason for this? If my phone has 8GB RAM, why the system only ever uses 5.4GB of it? (I noticed something similar with my old OP 8T, that had 12GB RAM but the usage never ever went above 7.8GB) Is this some kind of Android behaviour/principle? Why "wasting" RAM? I'm curious about the technical reasons for this. Thank you.

I think it's about using the RAM efficiently.

You need that RAM space to actually operate the OS smoothly. Android uses it to run background tasks and services to keep your system running smoothly. It's also used to cache apps.

Your question is superficial and pointless.

There is RAM wasting as you may think. System uses all the RAM available when when it deems necessary. Everything there is arranged very cleverly and correctly in Android device memory management. Just forget about it and the benefit of the device. The System will solve what to do a hundred times more correctly than you.
