Samsung A52s lags when trying to send pictures on discord

When im trying to send a certain amount of pictures (usually 4 or more) in discord my phone starts to lag so much to the point where it liteally crashes. No clue what's causing it. I tried updating the app, uninstalling and reinstalling the app but still no luck. If anyone can help I would be very grateful
