Samsung A40 screen flashing when locking phone.

Recently when locking my phone it flashes. Its quite unusual for this to happen. I am unsure on how to resolve this as I think it might be something to do with the new software update?

In addition to this, I cant even unlock my phone when it starts flashing I have to put it on charge ? Nonidea what to do
