Samsung A14 5G touchscreen doesn't work anymore after update to One UI 7.0

after updating my A14 5G to One UI 7.0, my touchcreen doesn't work at all anymore. 

How to fix this?

..it's an issue - but given that there's no tech response, there's no way of knowing what is causing the issue (Android kernel and UI or the implementation of those on Samsung). My son has an A14 and his works ok. So it could be that theres an app (or a particular type of app) that I'm using that is messing up the UI and causing the touchscreen freeze. Frustrating as hell that there's not an official way that I can see to report bugs like this.  Forums are not a good way of handling these things.

No never. My Phone is almost completely useless, now screen doesn't work anymore

Go onto Samsung Twitter, post your problem. I did, they got back to me straightaway and problem was sorted with their help. Wish I'd done that two days ago!

I spoke too soon, the problem is back ! 🙄. They insist they know of no problems with the softwear update, but clearly there are.....

...it seems like an intermittent issue - and if you can get your phone to rebot without a touchscreen, the issue stops for a while. That's why I thought the 'power-volume up -> clear cache' fix suggested earlier in this thread had worked. But I now think it was just the reboot that temporarily resolved the issue.

God knows what the answer is except get another phone and that, frankly, isn't viable at this time. Everything worked fine before this upgrade! How they there don't know of any issues, well they do now....

...what pees me off is the lack of support from companies. This is basic, fundamental software - and everything is software/firmware driven nowadays - when it works, great - but when it doesn't there's not an official route to report it and get it fixed. It's not just Samsung - it's the way of the world. Support costs money and all companies are hoping they'll be able to hide behind AI.

I spoke to a lady at customer service, she couldn't understand me... I couldn't understand her, she couldn't understand the problem so I got nowhere. I have better and more pressing things to do than mess about with this !

I'm sorry to see that you are all having an issue with your phone not responding. Given the troubleshooting steps you have already tried, I'd recommend sending us an Error report so that our software engineers will be able to receive data logs relating to the problem you are experiencing. This data is anonymised and only held for the duration of the investigation of the report.
