Retrieve items from recycle bin

Hi. I want to retrieve some text messages I deleted from my recycle bin on my Samsung phone. Every time I try and do this a pop up screen appears wanting me to set up a 2 step protection process which I don't want to do. I think I'm possibly not in the right place as surely this should be more simple and straightforward. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Hey @queenclaudia ,

sure thing! You should be able to retrieve this by launching the Messages app> Menu (3 dots top right)> Recycle bin> Select the message or messages that you'd like to retrieve> Restore.

Are these the steps that you are following? If so, when do you get this message (when you tap Recycle Bin, Settings...)? Can you capture this and send a screenshot of the message here?
