Proximity Sensor Issue on Samsung A40 After Display Replacement

I'm experiencing two issues after replacing the display on my Samsung A40:

  1. During a call, the screen turns off when I bring the phone to my ear, which is expected. However, when I move the phone away, the screen remains dark instead of lighting up automatically.

  2. When "Accidental Touch Protection" is enabled, I sometimes get a slider prompt when trying to unlock the phone, which shouldn’t happen.

How can i solve this issue? Thank you.

Go to Samsung Members > Support > Diagnostics. Run the tests; if the sensors fail, there is not much you can do beyond getting it repaired.

Hello 👋 @lg461

You mention the display was replaced but by who please ?

If you had this work carried out by an unauthorised engineer then they may have inadvertently caused issues. You'll need to ask them for help as the manufacturers warranty will be voided.

If this was replaced by a Samsung Service Centre then go back to them to ask for help.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎
