One ui 4.0 and android 12

Hi to all, 

I have Galaxy A22 5g one ui 3.1 android 11. Although not as good as galaxy S series phones, it is not a bad phone apart from one major floor...one ui 3.1 but even worse, android 11. When will I get latest one ui update and android 12?

Take a look on sammobile.com as there js usually some good software update scheduling on there.

Updates are sent out to eligible phone's in connection to region , phone model and serial number.

Thank you for reply. I have already looked on both sites you have mentioned. I am in UK and on 3 network, so looks like I just need to be patient for a little longer. Many thanks.

If the phone was supplied by 3 then they may have their own update scheduling with the phone being a branded phone.

Keep periodically checking your software update section and sometimes using Samsung Smartswitch can yield results.

Android 12 has been launched in the East, and Middle east, any hint when Europe is on the list, the second question can I install this Rom for India on Europe model

Check reply from @BandOfBrothers to my question about android 12 update and look on Sammobile.com. as for your second question, it may be possible to manually update your device by flashing with software such as Odin, however, you may not be able to use all features available in your location and possibly brick your device. Personally, I would wait until android 12 and one ui 4.0/4.1 or above is available in your location.

Prepare to be entirely underwhelmed when you do get One UI 4. I wouldn't bother calling it Android 12 because it's been destroyed by One UI 4 aping Android Oreo still. I installed Nova Launcher to get the proper Android 12 interface and experience back.

@jaksa01 Although it is frustrating that android 12 roll out is taking so long to be available for all, but waiting is good idea. I have used Odin once before after buying a secondhand Samsung galaxy S5. And although I did manage to successfully flash the device, it took a number of attempts and finding the correct firmware wasn't all that easy at that time.
If you do decide to manually update your OS, do your homework and make sure you do full backup of your device.
