notification sounds

Hey, when my phone is turned off I do not get any notification sound alert and only get the alert sound when the phone is on. When the phone is off I only get vibration and no sound, even though sound is on and not on vibrate, same goes with text alerts?

if ure phone is switched off u won't get notifications u would get alarm if u set it

is it in standby or is it properly off your phone just to clarify

OK then go into settings sound and vibrations then you should see volume press on that then even if your phone is on sound the volume could be down to turn on what you need turn up ringtone notifications and system
