I have just bought an A15 phone and I'm not receiving texts and phone calls. I don't know what to do and I'm wondering if anyone can help.

Hi @Anonymous User

Where did you get your phone from?

Can you send text messages or call?

Does your phone shows no service or no signal?

Have you tried different network sim cards?

If you have different phone and insert sim card into other phone can you receive calls and messages?

You can try press and hold volume down and power buttons for 7-10 seconds to reboot your phone.

Also you can Try to reset network settings.
Settings > general management > reset > reset mobile network settings.

If you bought from reputable seller you should be able to return phone.

Is it just 1 person who doesn't receive your messages or more? Also you mentioned you can't receive any calls or messages is it all calls and messages you can't receive or again just specific person?

So more than 1 person can't receive your messages and calls, and you can receive calls and messages or calls from them as well or they just can't receive your messages and calls or both?

@Anonymous User Just to add  check that there are no issues with your Network and that Mobile Data is enabled. check that your preferred sim is assigned to Messages, Settings-Connections-Sim card Manager. check thst Text is set as Default if that is preferred option, Settings - Chat Settings -Select Default Messaging Type, and set this to 'Text or Multimedia Messages'. If you go to Messages- Menu(3 dots)-Settings-More Settings-Text Messages check that a number is poulated in the Message Centre Section. If not you would need to contact your Network.

otherwise restart phone and check for any updates. you may need to clear the Messages cache,Settings-Apps-Messages-Storage-clear cache. You may need to reinset/try different sim as has been mentioned.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

I suspect RCS is the issue here and it is why I don't use it.

If you send a message using RCS, the recipient has to have RCS to receive the message otherwise it doesn't come through.

That was my experience and haven't used RCS since. Turned it off.

Try turning RCS off then sending the same person an SMS and see if they get it
