Exactly. I bought Samsung A55 because of the monthly security updates promise... And if you Google search it, looks like the November security update was an especially important patch.
I'm really not impressed with Samsung mobile anymore. The updates should be monthly it's nearly 3 months since the last update. Really have no trust in Samsung
It is 14 December, and still stuck on September parch. With all the hype about the fixes in it, it's a bit naughty to hold it back. Come on Samsung, get your priorities right, and give us what was promised.
Thanks. I do understand this, but I am not sure that's an acceptable and sustainable position from a customer service viewpoint. Will the November 2024 update happen before the end of 2024? What about the December 2024 update? Grateful for any help you can give.
This is a joke, you buy a flagship phone and you're afraid to use it because it's not safe, something is definitely wrong with the company and the stock will probably start falling any minute. How are they supposed to compensate customers?
The A55 isn't a flagship phone. You're worrying unnecessarily, there are phones which go 3 months or longer without any updates and they work perfectly fine. I don't know whether or not you're joking about stock falling and compensation, but if you aren't, really?
Okay maybe not a flagship, but top of mid range is close enough, and deserves better, but to be fair, Samsung has got our cash, so why should they bother 😊
AndrewL: Shouldn't this query be unresolved? It's clear how to set the A55 for automatic updates and to check the latest position. What's not resolved is when we will get the November 2024 update. Thanks.
Samsung Support has told me: "Our engineers have advised that an update is scheduled soon. Please keep an eye out for this through the following: Settings > Software update > Download and install." I am not sure how flexible is "soon". Let's hope it is imminent!
