It's almost 2 years since the Galaxy A05s was launched. Is it likely we will see a successor soon?

Ok, but until Google Pixel phones can be bought at Argos for £100, that's really a separate conversation.

That's not going to happen 😂
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

What you believe and what Samsung see in sales volumes can be very very differently.

It just isn't a popular device I'm afraid. Not when you think that the S25 series had a production run close to 40 million.

Yes l agree, to a point cheap phones means little or no upgrades, but l do think the small security updates each month should be done by all manufacturers regardless of price. I'm not talking android upgrades, just basic security patches, that make phones vulnerable, even 2 year old samsung high end phones are waiting up to 14 weeks after Google release them & they are even then only critical security patches not medium or low risk, that's unacceptable, unless you can afford to buy a £1000 samsung phone even 18 month
Security is top priority especially on Android phones being open source

Do you have sales figures for the A05s?

I haven't had a poor experience with security update frequency for the A05s. The main issue this phone has is that automatic checking for updates is completely disabled, so you have to manually check.

I have sometimes requesting update it say none , but l know there is one so l repeatedly press it , sometimes 5 or 6 times then it say update ready to download 😂, it was so bad l did a factory reset on my phone as l thought I might have done something, it's better but still l have to ask people and then if mines not on there repeatedly request it, strange . I'm currently on February now, I'm 3 monthly (Quarterly) updates , so should get one end of month

Feb 1st, same here. Typically Samsung takes 6 weeks to release the updates for this model, so the last update came out almost 2 months ago (middle of March).
