New sim not registering

I've put a new sim in my phone and it's not registering. It's been a few hours and still nothing. Any ideas why this is happening? Maybe a dodgy sim? 🤔

Have you tried restarting your phone with the sim inside?

If your SIM is not working in another device or the one you wish to use, the SIM may need activation. Call your provider and asked them to check the SIM. Sounds like your phone is fine.
