Had a software update this morning, seems fine. Was replying to a text and saw 'update' so I did, turns out it was 'Upgrade' and now I'm stuck with Google Messages. I don't want that, I want Samsung messages but I've tried all sorts and I can't get back to my default app. Any suggestions apart from a factory reset?

Samsung messages has been deprecated for quite a while now, Samsung is moving over to Google messages being the default. Google messages is much better and has more features so there's no reason to stay on the old Samsung messages app. Other than you like the way it looks

Might have to enable Samsung messages back from apps under settings
