We were told to take ours to Por Tabe since it's an official Samsung Repair Store. They didn't charge us but held the phone for 1 - 30 days, took contact info and gave us a receipt with a date to pick it back up. If there's a Por Tabe in your are you should give them a call.

I have an A12 and it's fine but I last updated it in November since it was my back-up phone. Personally, I wouldn't risk an update if your phone is working correctly. Not until Samsung issues and official response anyway.

My phone was in its original condition. I updated at home on Sunday night before I went to bed and everything was fine. I did not turn it off until Tuesday morning to take an exam. It never came back on. Only had it for one year. Never had any previous issues with it.

I had never heard of them before. Looks like they have two stores in Bridgetown. I will give them a call on Monday.
Thanks for the information 👍

Phone has been repaired. No loss of data as far as I can tell.
